NWCG - Intermediate Wildland Fire Behavior S- 290 online class

This S-290 online course is the second course

in five course sequence developing wildland

fire behavior prediction knowledge and skills.

It builds upon the basics in S-190, Introduction to

Wildland Fire Behavior, but with more detailed

information about characteristics and

interactions of the wildland fire environment

(fuels, weather, and topography) that affect

wildland fire behavior for safety purposes.

This course is conducted all online

(no classroom) portion of this course consists

of a pre-course test and twelve online modules

with a test in which each student must

successfully completeall materilas by March 1, 2024.
